Math-ELA-tions is a company that uses a variety of techniques that seek to engage students in a mathematical classroom. This worksheet uses rhyming and verse to strengthen number sense. It is specifically geared towards visual learners whereby the rhyming scheme allows for a visual journey through story telling to help students memorize content that isn't easy to 'see,' or possibly understand. It is also geared towards the auditory learner in that students will use sound, and rhyme, as a mechanism for learning. These students, both auditory and visual, will make the most of rhythm and rhyme. The combination of rhythm and rhyme along with a mathematical concept will enable these students to learn through articulation.
