Product Description
I created this colorful fraction activity to reinforce and build fraction concepts.

The first activity has a colorful design, which students calculate the fraction for each color. I find that students are accustomed to fraction pieces represented in very typical ways. The design shows that a halves, fourths, and eighths can be made is multiple ways. The activity also requires students to add fractions to get a total.

The second activity is the same design, but students can color it differently, which will result in different fractions.

The third activity has more pieces and will require more adding of fractions to calculate the total for each color.

Answer key is included for the first activity. Answers will vary for the other two.

Use 1 or all 3 activities to teach fractions conceptually!
