Fraction to decimal and percent conversions are difficult concepts for 5th and 6th graders. Use this sorting game as a way to get your students fluent in fraction, decimal, percent conversions. Students use the apple cards to make matches. As a student memorizes the fraction to decimal and percent conversions, they will get faster and create more matches.
Included in this set:
-A printer friendly black and white version as well as a full color version.
-2 recording sheets with answer keys
-47 total pages
Print out the sheets and laminate them. Cut out the individual apples and have your students match the sets. For example the apple with 20%, the apple with 2/10, the apple with 1/5, the apple with 0.2, and the apple with 0.20 all go together. Students can challenge each other or work alone. I have also included some recording sheets to track their progress.
I use this in my own class as a center and as an individual activity while I work with others in small group. My students enjoy beating their last high score.
For use in:
