Let me introduce to you Doctor Denominator & Nurse Numerator. I made this resource to help my little boy who, like so many other kids, struggles with math. I wanted to come up with an easy way of helping him understand what fractions are and how to write them without having to just remember all the text/language that goes along with fractions. Many kids struggle to just remember information, so I came up with the concept of Doctor Denominator and Nurse Numerator as visual clues.
Also included in this resource is a Fraction Wall (colour + black/white) comparing fractions PLUS an explanation of how to SAY fractions.
This resource pack is not intended to be a whole fractions unit, merely as a “helper” to give more visual clues to certain concepts.
