Challenge your students with this fun, interactive Fractions Jeopardy game. The game is structured like the Jeopardy television game show where the ‘Answer’ is displayed and the contestant provides the ‘Question’ for the answer. Students love this twist to the game!

With students working cooperatively in teams, the whole class can participate in the game; or it can be used for differentiation in your math center.

There are five categories with five items each:

Improper to Proper
Proper to Improper
Equivalent Fractions
Decimals and Fractions
Add and Subtract Fractions and Mixed Numbers (like denominators)

Great activity for practice and review!

Use decimal notation for fractions with denominators 10 or 100. For example, rewrite 0.62 as 62/100; describe a length as 0.62 meters; locate 0.62 on a number line diagram.
Add and subtract mixed numbers with like denominators, e.g., by replacing each mixed number with an equivalent fraction, and/or by using properties of operations and the relationship between addition and subtraction.
Understand addition and subtraction of fractions as joining and separating parts referring to the same whole.
