Comparing Fractions to 1/2
In order to be successful with the fraction standards in Common Core, students MUST be able to use ½ as a benchmark to compare fractions.
Students have the opportunity to compare fractions to ½ using a variety of visual models, including sets and number lines. After practice with visual models, students will compare fractions to ½ without that scaffold in place.
Two whole class games are also included in this packet.
