I used this to begin my fifth grade fraction unit.
It reviews the terms numerator, denominator, improper fraction, and mixed fraction. It reviews fractions in number form, word form, picture of a whole, and picture of a group.
On the back (if you copy them front to back) students learn to place fractions on a number line from 0 to 1 and place them in a category of close to 0, close to 1/2, or close to 1.
You can add the fractions that you want the students to work with yourself, giving you the ability to adjust the difficulty level or differentiate.
After using this as notes, I slipped a blank copy with only the fractions I wanted students to use (in different forms on the first table) into a sheet protector and used it as a center or dry erase activity for early finishers.
This was a great way for us to begin the fraction units
