Product Description
This product is a GROWING BUNDLE of all of my fractions Think Dots boards. Currently, this download includes differentiated critical thinking activities for adding fractions and equivalent fractions. As more fraction Think Dots are added to my store, they will be added to this bundle.

You will save in the long run by purchasing this bundle now! Purchase it once, then re-download when additional boards are added at no charge! I am planning to add boards for fractions on a number line, subtracting fractions, multiplying, and dividing fractions.

In my classroom, I'm constantly looking for ways to encourage students to think critically and to apply their knowledge, rather than simply sharing what they know on a fill in the blank work sheet. I teach gifted and high ability third grade students, and no two days are ever alike in my room! I incorporate reading and writing across the curriculum... These think dots are a great way to encourage writing skills in the mathematics classroom!

Think dots are a differentiation strategy designed to encourage higher level thinking. Each “dot” contains a task, with the tasks increasing in cognitive demand the higher the dot number. Students select a task by rolling a dice or by choice (allowing for differentiation by student interest and learning style). As the teacher, you decide how many dots your students must complete. Think dots can be used as a stand alone activity, as a center, or in small group settings!
