This bingo game can be used to have students practice working with fractions. Students need to be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide fractions. In addition, they need to be able to look at two fractions and determine which is larger.
The teacher should provide each student with a blank copy of the bingo board. Students then fill in the possible choices from the answers given.
[UPDATED: I have now included 30 pre-generated bingo cards that you could print and laminate. This could allow for faster game play as students will not have to make their own cards.]
Teachers can then either project each question or call them off. Students work the problem and then cover the answer with a marker. Teachers may wish to use candy kisses, hearts, or M & Ms for markers.
As a bonus, a Valentine homework pass is included. You could use this as a reward for the student that gets a bingo first.
A fun way to keep students' minds on math on a day close to Valentine's Day!
