Description

Using these digital Fractions Word Problems Error Analysis task cards in Google™ Classroom makes lesson planning and instruction SO much easier! Your 3rd and 4th graders can use math models like fraction bars and number lines to solve word problems involving fractions of a whole and fractions of a set.

This engaging resource is in Google™ Forms where students will use either multiple choice or short answer responses to true or false statements about fraction word problems. This could be used for practice and formative/summative assessment.

There is a paper copy of an error analysis worksheet that you can print for student practice or assessment. Great to send home for parents!

Once you download, you will need to copy this resource into your Google™ Drive. Once you share with your students, they can begin this activity and you can see results!

Understand a fraction 1/𝘣 as the quantity formed by 1 part when a whole is partitioned into 𝘣 equal parts; understand a fraction 𝘢/𝑏 as the quantity formed by 𝘢 parts of size 1/𝘣.
Represent a fraction 1/𝘣 on a number line diagram by defining the interval from 0 to 1 as the whole and partitioning it into 𝘣 equal parts. Recognize that each part has size 1/𝘣 and that the endpoint of the part based at 0 locates the number 1/𝘣 on the number line.
Explain equivalence of fractions in special cases, and compare fractions by reasoning about their size.
