Product Description
Printable worksheets for students to practice subtracting like and unlike proper fractions with visual model before proceeding to subtract without visual aid.

Children learn to subtract fractions with same denominator. Model bar representation allows kids to visualize how to subtract the numerators when denominators are the same. Once they understood the concept, they will move on to work on numeric fraction terms.

Subtracting unlike fractions is also presented with visual model. Kids visualize how to convert to equivalent fractions. They need to find the equivalent numerator before subtraction can be done.
This is a good revision for kids who had done equivalent fractions.

Under numeric fractions, they are challenged to subtract up to three like and unlike fractions. They are required to show their workings how answers are derived. This is to ensure they can subtract fractions in numeric terms and without visual aids.

Model bar visual aids are used to help kids familiar with model bar representation. It serves to build a solid foundation for children to solve word problem when moving to higher level.
