These 50 math puzzles were designed to help students practice matching fractions with their corresponding word form, decimal, and picture model. The picture models can also help reinforce comparisons of the fractions and decimals. This activity can easily be differentiated by giving students different puzzles to work with based on their specific needs (e.g., working on tenths vs. hundredths).
Print the puzzle pieces on heavy card stock and laminate for a reusable resource. My students and I love color, but you can print the puzzles in black and white to save your color ink. Cut the puzzle pieces prior to giving to them to your students. This can be used as a whole group or center activity.
This pdf file contains 50 4-piece puzzles including:
- 10 puzzles (one tenth to ten tenths)
- 9 puzzles (one hundredth to nine hundredths
- 30 puzzles (various numbers between ten hundredths and ninety-nine hundredths)
- 1 puzzle (one hundred hundredths)
