These fraction cards have multiple uses in a third grade math classroom. They can be used to help students learn how to represent fractions as numbers on a number line, compare fractions using benchmark fractions, and explore equivalent fractions using a number line.
This file includes 110 fraction cards with 2, 4, 6 8 and 12 as denominators. Teachers can print cards on cardstock, laminate them and cut them apart for multiple uses. I have included a few suggestions of different games that can be played during center time, but the possibilities are endless.
Common Core Standards:
Understand a fraction as a number on the number line; represent fractions on a number line diagram.
Explain equivalence of fractions in special cases, and compare fractions by reasoning about their size.
