This Spring themed set has two worksheets: fill in the eggs that Sue and Sam are holding with appropriate fractions, and color in the matching slices of custard pies that they have not yet eaten. Fractions in this set include: 4/8, 4/6, 2/4, 2/8, 3/5, 7/8, 2/2, and 2/6. The other worksheet has blank eggs, and sliced pies that are not labeled, so the teacher may create other fractions using pies that are divided into 8th's, 6th's, 5th's, quarters, and halves. You may copy it as many times as you wish, white out the slice lines, and create other fractions, also, such as thirds, and more quarters or fifths.
Set has 4 pages in all. One is a full colored answer key. The other is made up of 16 cards. Copy this page onto card stock and cut the squares out for a FUN GAME of Memory! The students in my class enjoyed this immensely. Just turn them over and have students in small groups of 3-5 pick 2 each, turn them right-side up, and see if they match. If not, turn them back over, and it is someone else's turn. When a match is found, we put them up on a pocket easel. When all eight pairs are on the easel, the students copied the fractions onto their worksheets. They color yellow the correct amount of slices for each pie; then they write the fraction in the egg next to each pie.
