It is Spring, and you can remind students that skunks will be looking for things to eat around campgrounds and picnic areas. These two skunks, Kyle and Kate have found a package of chocolate sandwich cookies.
Fraction worksheet and Memory card game for first and second grade Math Centers are great for small groups of 3-5 students learning or reviewing fractions: 2/5, 4/5, 1/2, 5/8, 6/8, 3/4, 3/3, 5/6. These fractions may be used in conjunction with Counting Carrots and Sue and Sam Ducklings, which feature all different fractions.
Copy Memory cards onto card stock and cut out. Turn all cards face down; students take turns flipping over 2 cards at a time. If the pie fraction matches the numerical fraction, student keeps the cards. When all pairs are set out, the students copy the pairs onto the work sheet. Answer key is included.
