These fraction cards allow students to make connections between visual models of fractions and fractions on a number line. Students will find fraction models that match the number line, they will also represent fractions on a number line, and find equivalents. These cards can be used in many different ways. You can use them for enrichment math groups, center activities, gallery walks, playing games like scoot, or supplementing any calendar math you may use.
I created these to supplement my calendar math program. There are a total of 36 color cards. I recommend you print the colored cards on cardstock and laminate the sheets. You can use a dry erase marker to write on the laminated cards. This allows students to continually practice a skill once a day, even after you’ve moved on to another standard.
