Whenever I teach fractions, I find that students have the most difficulty drawing accurate number lines...and they are expected to draw them over and over...and over again!
Here is a basic printable which includes nine number lines (one each for halves, thirds, fourths, fifths, sixths, sevenths, eighths, ninths, and tenths). Each number line is labeled from 0 to 1. Measurements are accurate so students can practice noticing patterns between unit fractions, equivalent fractions, etc.
You can place in a sheet protector or laminate for students to draw on with dry-erase marker, include in a math center, glue into an interactive notebook, or simply display as a reference page.
There are 2 color choices: bright colors or black and white.
Within each color, there are also 3 versions to choose from:
- fully labeled number lines
- blank number lines labeled with 0 and 1
- completely blank number lines
Please let me know if you have questions. Thanks and enjoy!
