This worksheet packet includes 5 worksheets that will give your students an opportunity to practice recognizing and revising sentence fragments and run-on sentences. Each worksheet includes a chart with common editing symbols so that students learn to use the appropriate symbols as they revise each worksheet.

Worksheet 1- Students read 8 unrelated sentences. Some of the sentences contain fragments, while other sentences contain run-ons. Students must revise each item so that the sentences are complete, well-written sentences.

Worksheet 2- This worksheet contains a complete journal entry written by a student. However, the journal entry contains 5 sentence fragments. Students must find the fragments and turn them into complete sentences.

Worksheet 3- This worksheet contains a complete journal entry written by a student. However, the journal entry contains 3 run-on sentences. Students must find the run-ons and edit them so that they are well-written sentences.

Worksheet 4- This worksheet contains a short informational essay written by a student. However, the essay contains 4 sentence fragments. Students must locate the fragments and turn them into complete sentences.

Worksheet 5- This worksheet contains a a short informational essay written by a student. However, the journal entry contains 3 run-on sentences. Students must locate the run-ons and edit them so that they are well-written sentences.
