In this set you will find three layers of framing: the how and what, the why, and criteria for success. I like to think of the “how and what” as the typical objective that names what kids are doing and how they will do it; the “why” relates the lesson to the big picture (essential question, unit connections) or the real world; the “criteria for success” tells students what they need to do to be successful. These signs are set up on legal size paper.
