Mary Shelley's masterpiece of gothic literature, Frankenstein, is a beautiful exploration of gothic themes, the importance and impact of personal knowledge, and the duties and responsibilities of a creator. These notes guide students as they read the novel by dissecting important quotes, relating events to central themes, and helping students identify elements of gothic literature. These notes are designed for my AP English Literature class, but could be used in British Literature and other English electives, as they are customizable.
