For this research project, students will be engaging with one of the fundamental quesitons underlying Mary Shelley's novel, Frankenstein; when does science/progress "go too far"? Students will pick a contemporary topic of scientific controversy (ie: stem cell research, gmos, animal testing etc.) and engage in short term research to find sources on both sides of the issue.
After crafting a short annotated bibliography, which includes both biased and objective sources, students will write a short abstract explaining both sides of their issue and their own stance after researching it.
Instructions and teacher rubric are included.
