This mini-book is a companion to the book “Franklin’s Valentine” and is full of writing and grammar activities to enrich the story. Activities included are appropriate for literacy centers, whole class activities and home study as well.
Pack contains 3 main files.
A PPT presentation to use it in the classroom with any type of interactive board. Use F5 for full screen and clicks or keyboard arrows to run presentation.
Two PDF files (color and BW) for printing. So your students will be able to write while they watch the presentation.
I have included activities that target sequences, story retell, comprehension and basic grammar concepts (verbs, nouns, adjectives).
Slides/pages 3-10 contain the story pictures and comprehension questions, story sequencing, about characters questions, cause and effect etc. The pictures are combined with text boxes for each student to complete with guidance, independently, or with a small group.
Slide/pages 11-19 contain grammar and writing activities.
All activities are aligned with Common Core Standards. Activities were created by Maria Zappa-Kasapidi from www.schoolesssons.gr and images are from the video and http://www.wallcoo.net/ (Valentine’s series).
