This game is to practice identifying days and months in French, but can also be used to practice any set of vocabulary or verb forms. Project the board on to a projector screen or white board. Split the class into two teams. Each team lines up on their side of the screen. The front player in each line has a fly swatter (can also just use hands). Each round the teacher says the word in French or English and the students with the swatter must find the translation and be the first to place their swatter onto the correct word to gain a point for their team. Can also be played with partners at desks and each set of partners would get a printed copy of the game board and try to be the first to circle the correct word with their own color marker or colored pencil when the teacher says it. The partner with most flies circled at the end wins. In this set I have included English days/months, French days/months, and a blank board to create your own!
