This Morning Work and Review for “4th Grade Place Value to 100,000, Estimation, Multiplication & Division” has been especially designed to promote conceptual understanding, procedural fluency and problem solving, using tested strategies from the Singapore Mathematics curriculum.

This pack can be used as a stand-alone product, morning work, daily work, homework, math center or as a supplement to the Singapore Math in Focus curriculum. Topics are introduced sequentially, with sufficient practice for mastery before moving to the next. For multiplication, both partial product and standard algorithm are included. For Division, both partial quotient and standard algorithm are introduced. Teachers can select the relevant sections for their students. Students are also exposed to the bar modeling technique.

Generalize place value understanding for multi-digit whole numbers.

D1. Recognize that in a multi-digit whole number, a digit in one place represents ten times what it represents in the place to its right. For example, recognize that 700 x 70 = 10 by applying concepts of place value and division.
