This free version of the GO and Capture the Water Monsters Scavenger Hunt game is a "Move Around Math" puzzle solving game that gets students out of their seats as they use number strategies and logic to solve missing number addition problems. It is designed for students in grades 2-4.
Your students must be intrigued with the popular new game where they use their phones to go outside, hunt for, and capture anime characters. You know they will be missing playing this game when they are in school. This "Capture the Monsters" game will allow your students to have fun, think critically about math, and capture anime characters at the same time and they can do it during class time. The full 3 puzzle game can be found here: Addition Scavenger Hunt Puzzle Game Grades 2-4 Go Monsters
This free game allows students to capture one of the three Hydro (water monsters). Future "Capture the Monster" games will allow your students to capture the other 12 monsters and practice subtraction, multiplication, and division using similar number puzzles.
This free version has 10 reduced sized number station cards (which can be taped on the walls of the classroom), but to capture each monster students have to solve the station cards using the numbers printed on each monster's worksheet. This game includes one of the three monster game plays. If your class enjoys the game, consider purchasing the full product.
This game includes directions as well as the story of the Edumonstrum monsters. There are 10 multiplication puzzle stations and a student worksheet for one version of the game. An answer sheet is included as well as black and white versions of the Narwombat monster card to hand out when students "capture a monster".
