Children can work on addition skills for groups within five and ten either on their own or through a cooperative learning structure: with a partner, in a small or in a large group. One child shakes and the other child(ren) all record on their own sheets or alternate recording on the same sheet. Children take turns shaking and recording.
Younger children can work on fact families within five and ten. Older children can work on probability skills. An easy printable for a fun activity. Just add coins!
In China, children receive lucky money in a red envelope for the Chinese New Year. Place coins in a small red envelope for a fun and festive variation of the game. Put pictures or stickers on the envelopes to indicate which animal celebrated that year.
