The beginning of the school year is always a crazy busy time of year. One of the massive tasks I used to dread was creating a class handbook.
I’ve used a version of this handbook for years, and it is consistently a hit with students, parents, and the administration. At the beginning of the year, we read and annotate the handbook together (close reading practice anyone?!). Then, I give a brief quiz at the end of the first week. I hang a copy up in my classroom so that students (and I!) can refer to it throughout the year as needed.
All you need to do is edit your information, dates, and update the policies to reflect you and your school!
