Most aac devices and apps come with at least a basic set of preprogramed pages for your aac user. But all systems need to be customized for the individual user, even those based on core vocabulary.
You want to make sure that there is sufficient vocabulary for the user to communicate whatever (s)he wants, whenever and to whomever. You want to make sure there is the vocabulary they want, but not an excess of vocabulary that will not be used/is not needed. So, where do you start?
