On so many of my art projects we use googly eyes. Here is a free printable sheet of googly, goofy and fun eyes to use for any art project! I like to keep these on hand for those students who don't draw or for those days when I am putting together a project and need a whole lot of eyeballs!
These are actually a great communication toy as well! I once got a young man with autism laughing hysterically when I put googly eyes on a houseplant and proceeded to have a conversation with the plant. I finally told the plant if it was going to sit there and stare at me without talking I was going to talk to someone else.
Check out my store for more printables and curriculum I have created. My name is Brett Bigham, and I am the 2014 Oregon State Teacher of the Year. I love adapting curriculum so special needs students can access the curriculum of their peers. But, just because I'm a special ed teacher doesn't mean my curriculum is just for kids with special needs. It's for teachers and students who like to create hands-on examples of curriculum topics.
