This is a fun and creative activity for you to get to know your students and for them to get to know each other!
Colors are a vital part of our daily lives, yet we often don’t ever think about how enjoying their variety enhances our experiences. Even less so do people think about the symbolism behind colors and how they are used. With this activity students will research what colors mean and then create a colorful display using the top three colors that best represent them!
In Living Color covers the following Common Core State Standards:
Produce clear and coherent writing in which the development, organization, and style are appropriate to task, purpose, and audience.
Conduct short as well as more sustained research projects to answer a question (including a self-generated question) or solve a problem; narrow or broaden the inquiry when appropriate; synthesize multiple sources on the subject, demonstrating understanding of the subject under investigation.
