You know very well one day a week is not enough library time for some of your students. I have the exact problem in my classroom!
I created this chart to use for my students, so the same little turkeys will stop asking me every single day, "Can I go to the library?" Now I have a system for that!
*I printed it on large poster paper and laminated it.
*Then I hung it on my magnetic whiteboard.
*I used a large brightly-colored magnet and just move it around the poster to indicate which group has permission to use the media center today.
*I even assign the task to one of my classroom job holders so I don't have to remember to do ONE MORE THING today. :-)
This is a super easy way of adding a little more structure to your classroom while building independent learners.
The PDF is editable, so you can simply save it and update it any time. Use it year after year!
I hope you enjoy!
