I’m a huge fan of task cards and love to use them in my both my middle school and high school classes. You would be surprised how much my students get a kick out of them, including my gifted students. What I really like about task cards are their versatility. You can use them as a replacement for a worksheet, for a center (Yes, I recommend centers for older students. Try it!), file folder activity or even create a bulletin board with them. You can use them for a scavenger hunt, or to be passed around as a class or as an assignment for review, remediation or early finishers.
