For years, elementary students have enjoyed the gloriously goofy poetry of Shel Silverstein, Jack Prelutsky, and others. Following in that tradition, "I Gave Myself a Haircut (& Other Silly Poems)" is a free readers’ theater script that consists of a 3-poem compilation of . . . well . . . silly poems.
This readers' theater script also includes a list of “Watch-out words!” This feature highlights challenging words for which students may need help as they practice. These words also make terrific candidates for classroom vocabulary instruction.
Additionally, the script contains numerous bracketed prompts—hints like [shocked] or [proudly] that help guide students’ expression as they practice and perform.
I also have other collections in the Silly Poems Series:
* ANOTHER SILLY POEMS COLLECTION
* THE T-REX FROM MY CEREAL: A SILLY POEMS COLLECTION
* SCHOOLS ALMOST OUT: A SUMMERTIME SILLY POEMS COLLECTION
You can even get three of my readers' theater poetry collections for one great price in my READERS' THEATER POETRY BUNDLE or as part of my READERS' THEATER MEGA BUNDLE OF SILLINESS.
