This project allows students to create a poster that represents and "advertises" their books. (An example is included in the instructions.) I also show the students various movie posters as examples, and we talk about the power of pictures, taglines, etc. that appeal to consumers. They then apply that information to their posters in order to try and sell their book to others as a good read. The rubric assesses the various components of the posters.
The documents within the zip file are all in pdf format.
All of the items I share on TPT are ones I actually use in my middle school classroom. Most have been revised multiple times based on "test runs" with my students. I work hard to make information accessible to students in a fun and simple way while still challenging students to meet and exceed their abilities. Most of my assignments can be used with all ability levels; differentiation comes in my expectations of what individual students or groups can achieve. Many of my activities can be used with individual students or cooperative groups.
