Sequencing skills are often difficult for students with language disorders. The order of operations or events or actions requires practice and critical thinking.
As often as possible, I have always tried to begin with concrete sequences or familiar routines so that students can “walk through” the process or watch you model it.
There is a link to a 4 minute video on YouTube for an easy apple pie demonstration to watch with the students in your class or speech therapy group.
On the next pages you will find 2 different sequences for making an apple pie.
One has only 4 steps.
The other has 10.
Choose what you need for your students.
This sequencing activity is also part of a larger resource for the book, How to Make an Apple Pie and See the World
