FREE Sight Word Fluency Game :
This product contains a POPCORN game that asks the students to read the first grade sight words in the context of a sentence. The objective is to increase student’s reading fluency and confidence through repeated readings of the same sight words.
How to play:
1. Use a plastic popcorn container ( you can find one in many Dollar Stores) or print the
picture with the popcorn container and glue it on a small box or bag.
2. Students take turns drawing cards from the container and read the sight word sentence on
the card. If the student can’t read all the words in the sentence he/she will show the card to
the group and pick a friend to help him/her.
3. Whenever a student draws a POP! card he/she will have to return all his/her cards
in the container. The student with the most cards at the end of the game is the winner.
Laminate all the cards for durability and you’ll have them for years to come!
