The following is a Task-Based activity. Students will, through three steps, compare themselves to the youth of Cáceres, Spain in regards to their free time activities. First, they will rank different activities. Next, students read an excerpt from an article on the free-time of Spanish youth (I cut it off at a certain point to limit cognitive overload of students and because the article begins talking about drug and alcohol consumption). Lastly, students use the information in the article to compare themselves to the Spanish youth!

I believe this would best be served for high-school or college since the reading is authentic, but could be adapted for lower levels as well.
