Product Description
Articulation Roads is a fun and engaging way for young students to play and target speech sounds.

Print and laminate the roads. Cut out each road and use velcro or blu-tack on the back of each road. You will also need a few toy cars like Hot wheels or Matchbox cars (not included)

When playing the game the student can pick a piece of road and say the picture/word that is on the road and then place it on the surface being used.
If using velcro on the roads then the student can stick them to a surface with felt or carpet (i.e. bulletin board, floor covering). The road may be on a flat surface or on a wall. If using blu-tack then the student can stick the roads to a table, vinyl floor surface/tiles or on a wall (Make sure the blu-tack doesn't stick so much that it removes paint!)

Once the road starts to take shape then the student can begin driving on the road. Encourage the student to say the pictures as they drive over them or make up stories as they drive over the roads. For more advanced students they can talk about where they are going as well as saying the words. Student could also direct you where to drive using direction concepts and clearly expressing the pictures with their correct articulation sound.

Like the sample? Then there is more available in the full version! The product has sounds that target: Initial, medial and final position sounds for ’t, d, m, n, g, k, b, p, sh, ch, l, s, f’ and initial position for ‘w’

There are 12 targets for initial position, 12 targets for medial position and 12 targets for final position. The roads are great activity to focus on word level all the way up to pushing past sentence level and prompt generalisation. You can easily include multiple speech sounds by mixing up roads or including initial, medial or final target words- flexible for all needs!
