I created these basic worksheets to allow my kiddos to practice addition and subtraction utilizing the variety of strategies we have been using when solving larger addition/subtraction number sentences. My kiddos use the 100's chart, a number line, place value blocks, and then decomposing numbers. I have linked all the freebies below that can assist you in this worksheet! I left space with each problem to allow kiddos room is they choose to decompose numbers to solve. You can use it as the same, or have them explain how they went about solving. I push hard for my students to be reflective learners. So the space can be used in multiple ways. I have included two worksheets. The first one is 2 digit addition/subtraction, then the second one is focusing on 3 digit addition/subtraction!
Here are some addition/subtraction FREEBIE strategy sheets. You can totally laminate them or put them in a page protector and let your kiddos use their dry-erase markers on them:
- Number Line Strategy Sheet
- 100's Chart Strategy Sheet
- 200's Chart Strategy Sheet
- Place Value Strategy Mat
