Here is a fun way to introduce some basic emotions and help students practice them. This worksheet has three parts: the top part introduces five emotions (tired, happy, angry, nervous, sad) with different symbols. In the next part, students see a pronoun and one of the face symbols, and they have to create a complete sentence using the correct form of estar. Finally, there is a sections with fill-in-the blank statements where students fill in the correct form of estar, plus see how to form questions.
The Realidades 2B chapter teaches the forms of estar and how they are used with locations, but it barely even mentions emotions. I added this in as a homework assignment to help them be more aware that estar is used for more than locations. Enjoy!
