Letters are broken down step by step with varying handwriting strikes to practice writing the letter. Pages come with the letter at the top, with the direction of the strokes. Example A 1. slant to the left, 2. slant to the right, 3. slant across the center. This is followed by three images that begin with the letter, in the case of the letter x, middle and ending words like box, and fox are included. There are five sections under this with several strokes. Continuing with the example as A the first box contains a slant to the left, the second box a slant to the right. The third box has slants going across, that begin at the left and end on the right. The forth box will always contain the strokes to form the letter. In this case Slant to the left, slant to the right, slant across, repeat. The final box will also always have the letter in the correct formation (to spell the word A).
Number pages contain a similar breakdown of the numbers 0-9. The number is set at the top right corner with the direction of each stroke. Followed by three images depicting the number, such as fingers (a fist for zero), dominoes (by Creative to the Core, link on the credits page), and a ten frame. Boxes below this arrangement contain various strokes to get in the habit of writing the number. Using the Number 2 as an example, the first box has a tiny bump, the second box has a slant to the left, and the third box has a dash across from left to right. The fourth box has the strokes in order bump, slant, dash, and the final box has the number ready to be traced. The number 1 is a simple line down from top to bottom for each box.
