They will practice turn taking, active listening, asking clarifying questions, giving clear and specific directions, using prepositional words. Match Mine games can be differentiated for a variety of skill levels.

one player is a sender for the first round, the second player is the receiver
-Sender places a game piece on their board, then provides specific and clear directions for receiver to try to match the placement of their piece in the same spot on their own board. Play continues until all eight pieces are placed. Players cannot look at each others boards during the game.
-After all pieces are placed, sender asks receiver if they are ready to check. Players then remove divider to see if placement of the small objects match on both gameboards.
-Players high five each other and switch roles
