This is an activity fameboard I made to originally help my students practice with their weekly Word Study and Sight Words. Which I use this board for my students to practice their weekly trick words, review words, or current words. I simply made cards to go with the game. I say all of this, because it is pretty versatile and can be used with whatever you want your students to practice "spelling". Students pair up and each have a board. They each grab six of their words to place in the boxes on their boards. Players take turns rolling the dice. Whatever number the dice lands on, the students who rolled, has to refer to the word in the corresponding dice box. They must say the word correctly. If they say the word correctly, they remove the word from the box, and put it in their done pile. They then replace the box with a new word. Partners check each other to ensure the words are being recognized correctly. The first child with all their words in the done pile (and nothing on their gameboard), wins!! I use giant foam dice from the Dollar Tree and the kids love it! Enjoy!!
