Freebie! Skittles Get to Know You & Kindess Candy Conversations

Students are given a handful or a cup of Skittles. They must then select one from their hand/cup without looking. Based on the color chosen, they will answer the designated question. You can project this slide and do this without making copies.

Front-load students with these questions. Give them a cup of skittles. Ask them to pair up with someone, choose a skittle, and discuss. Repeat until skittles are gone! You can also have students do a "pair up" and "square up" where they pair up and share, use their listening skills, and then square up with another partner pair to repeat back to the new pair what their partner said. That builds on listening and speaking skills. Have fun and stay sweet!
