This is a fun little activity to do the week you first introduce Spanish pronouns. Print the English pronouns on one color, the Spanish pronouns on another color, cut up the cards, and you're ready to go!
In class, seat your students in groups of two, and have one student match up the cards while the other student times them. When everyone is done, go over what their matching pairs should be, and students add a penalty of 5 seconds to their time for every error made. Then, the students switch roles.
Repeat the same exact activity for an extra day or two, and challenge students to get a faster time each day.
This activity is simple, but it was helpful for my Spanish 1 students to automatically identify pronouns. It works well for the Realidades 2A chapter, or any other chapter that teaches pronouns. Have fun!
