This simple game is great for your Pre-Kindies and Kindies. It gives them lots of practice at recognizing the number of dots on a dice and matching them with a number.
This is a game children can play by themselves in a maths center. Give each child a laminated gameboard, 6 tiny plastic teddies and a dice.
The aim is to see which colour teddy gets back to his home first.
They line the teddies up one on each teddy square and predict who they think will win. Throw a six and number 6 teddy takes a step forward. Throw a five and number 5 takes a step…etc until one wins.
