Description
This free activity includes two creative writing prompts for upper-level Spanish class. Students can complete prompts as part of bell work or as a beginning of the year activity.
La máquina del tiempo- this activity allows students to use the present tense and transport themselves to one of their favorite parts of the summer. I use this as a diagnostic assessment to determine how well students use the present tense. However, this could be a good ice-breaker because students can share with each other the things they have done.
La Farándula- this activity is a gossip column about juicy celebrity news over the summer. There are always break-ups, rivalries, and of course sports news! Students may use this activity just for that. I use the activities together to give students voice and choice.
