One page activity that uses a website from George Mason University called freedominthe50states.org. This website list a huge variety of issues and how states rank nationally against each other. Personal, fiscal, economic, regulatory and more. Has a really cute video that shows some of the differences between the different states. Students color in the map based on Overall Freedom and then answer questions. They also compare the electoral college with this map and see how it played out in the last presidential election. Its an eye opener. This activity will open the discussion of what is freedom and how freedom for one person may infringe on other people's freedoms.
