Just like my Fractions Be Buggin,' I bring to you Freezin' Fractions!
My fourth graders panicked at the thought of fractions and, to be honest, I did too. Since it has been such a scary thing for my fourth graders, I have done what I could to make it more interesting and easier. This includes A LOT of practice. Here we have a fraction sheets practicing both identifying fractions based on pictures and fraction sheets that give the fraction that must be shaded in to make the picture!
The first three pages have little snowmen with divided bellies. For my class, I printed it off, shaded in the areas I wanted, and then copied them for my students. I left them blank so that they can be used repeatedly with different areas shaded.
The second set of three pages is where the fraction is given and the students must do the shading.
These sheets are very basic, but they were a great time filler AND wonderful practice that allowed for my students to see the simplicity in it.
