This unit includes day-by-day lesson plans!
Classroom objects using there is/there are and a review of numbers and colors
Common classes students take
Adjectives to describe classes and an intro to adjective agreement
The construction "I like" and "I don't like"
Telling time- whole hour, partial hour, and time-specific expressions
Included also are numerous practices from vocabulary recollection to student expression of class preferences. There's also a SMART file with a big clock that I manipulate or have the students use to practice.
There are various quizzes and tests and assess all topics individually and a unit test.
I've also included the pictures I use just about everyday that I have students describe to practice their pronunciation and use the vocabulary and structures they have learned. My anticipatory set slides are also included for each day of the unit.
My favorite part of the unit is the schedule project. It comes with organizers, directions, models, and rubrics. Students take their schedule and talk about it by saying the classes they have, when they take the class, the teacher, their personal preference (I like it/don't like it), and why. There is an option speaking component to this project if time permits.
